Bereshit (Genesis)

Ch. 8 / 50
1And Elohim remembered Noach, and all the wild beasts, and all the cattle, and all the flying creatures, and all the creeping things as many as were with him in the teivah [ark]; and Elohim brought a ruach [wind] over the Aretz [earth], and the water subsided. 2And the fountains of the deep were covered, and the floodgates of the shamayim [heavens] were stopped, and the rain from the shamayim was withheld. 3And the water receded, continually going off from the Aretz, and the water diminished after 150 days. 4And the teivah rested in the seventh month, on the 27th day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. 5And the water went on diminishing until the tenth month; and in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. 6And it came to pass after forty days Noach opened the window of the teivah which he had made. 7And he sent forth an orev [raven]; and it went forth and returned not until the water was dried up from off the face of the Aretz. 8And he sent forth a yonah [dove] after him, to see if the water had ceased from off the Aretz. 9And the yonah finding no rest for her feet, returned to him into the teivah, because the water was on all the face of the Aretz; and he stretched out his hand, and took her, and brought her to himself into the teivah. 10And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the yonah from the teivah. 11And the yonah returned to him toward evening, and had an olive leaf, a dry twig, in her mouth; and Noach knew that the water had ceased from off the Aretz. 12And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the yonah, and she returned to him no more. 13And it came to pass in the 601st year of Noach's life, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the water failed from off the Aretz; and Noach removed the covering of the teivah which he had made, and saw that the water had ceased from the face of the Aretz. 14And in the second month, on the 27th day of the month, the Aretz was dry. 15And YAHUAH Elohim spoke to Noach, saying: 16β€œCome out from the teivah, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you. 17And all the wild beasts as many as are with you, and all flesh from flying creatures to cattle, and every creeping thing moving upon the Aretz, bring out with you; and be fruitful and multiply upon the Aretz.” 18And Noach came out, and his wife, and his sons, and his sons’ wives with him. 19And all the wild beasts, and all the cattle, and every flying creature, and every creeping thing moving upon the Aretz, according to their Min [kind], came out of the teivah. 20And Noach built a mizbeach [altar] to YAHUAH, and took of all clean cattle, and of all clean flying creatures, and offered olah [burnt offerings] upon the mizbeach. 21And YAHUAH Elohim smelled a smell of sweetness; and YAHUAH Elohim having reflected, said: β€œI will no more curse the Aretz because of the deeds of Adam, because the yetzer [inclination/intent] of man's heart is intently set upon ra [evil] from his youth; I will not therefore again strike all living flesh as I have done. 22All the days of the Aretz, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
