These are the toledot [generations] of the sons of Noach: Shem, Cham, and Yafet. Sons were born to them after the mabul [flood].
The sons of Yafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Yavan, Elishah, Tuval, Meshekh, and Tiras.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Rifat, and Togarmah.
And the sons of Yavan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim [Cetians], and Rodanim [Rhodians].
From these were the coastlands of the nations divided in their lands, each according to his lashon [tongue/language], in their tribes and in their nations.
And the sons of Cham: Kush [Chus], Mitzrayim [Mesrain], Put [Phud], and Kena’an [Chanaan].
And the sons of Kush: Seba [Saba], Havilah [Evila], Sabtah, Ra’amah [Rhegma], and Sabteka. And the sons of Ra’amah: Sheba and Dedan [Dadan].
And Kush yalad [fathered] Nimrod [Nebrod]; he began to be a Nephilim [giant] upon the earth.
He was a Nephilim [giant] hunter before YAHUAH Elohim; therefore, they say: “As Nimrod the Nephilim hunter before YAHUAH.”
And the beginning of his kingdom was Bavel [Babylon], Erekh [Orech], Akkad [Archad], and Kalneh [Chalanne], in the land of Shinar [Senaar].
Out of that land came Asshur [Assur], and built Nineveh [Ninevi], Rehovot-Ir [the city Rhooboth], and Kalach [Chalach],
And Resen [Dase] between Nineveh and Kalach — that is the great city.
And Mitzrayim yalad [fathered] the Ludim [Ludiim], the Anamim [Enemetiim], the Lehabim [Labiim], and the Naftuhim [Nephthalim],
And the Patrusim [Patrosoniim], and the Kasluhim [Chasmoniim] (from whence came forth the Pelishtim [Phylistiim / Philistines]), and the Kaftorim [Gaphthoriim].
And Kena’an yalad [fathered] Tzidon his firstborn, and the Hittite [Chettite],
And the Yevusite [Jebusite], and the Emorite [Amorite], and the Girgashite,
And the Hivite [Evite], and the Arkite [Arukite], and the Sinite [Asennite],
And the Aradite [Aradian], and the Zemarite [Samarean], and the Hamathite [Amathite]; and after this the tribes of the Kena’anim [Chananites] were dispersed.
And the boundaries of the Kena’anim were from Tzidon till one comes to Gerar [Gerara] and Aza [Gaza], till one comes to Sedom [Sodom] and Amorah [Gomorrha], Admah and Tzeboim [Seboim], as far as Lesha [Dasa].
These were the sons of Cham in their clans according to their lashon [tongues/languages], in their countries, and in their nations.
And to Shem [Sem] himself also were children born, the father of all the sons of Ever [Heber], the brother of Yafet the elder.
Sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpakhshad [Arphaxad], Lud, Aram, and Kenan [Cainan].
And the sons of Aram: Uz, Hul [Ul], Gether [Gater], and Meshekh [Mosoch].
And Arpakhshad yalad [fathered] Kenan [Cainan], and Kenan yalad Shelach [Sala]. And Shelach yalad Ever [Heber].
And to Ever were born two sons, the name of the one, Peleg [Phaleg], because in his days the earth was divided, and the name of his brother Yoktan [Jektan].
And Yoktan yalad [fathered] Almodad, Shelef [Saleth], Hazarmavet [Sarmoth], Yered [Jarach],
Hadoram [Odorrha], Uzal [Aibel], Diklah [Decla],
Oval [Eval], Avimael, Sheba [Saba],
Ofir [Uphir], Havilah [Evila], and Yovav [Jobab] — all these were the sons of Yoktan.
And their dwelling was from Mesha [Masse], till one comes to Sephar [Saphera], a mountain of the east.
These were the sons of Shem in their clans, according to their lashon [tongues/languages], in their countries, and in their nations.
These are the clans of the sons of Noach, according to their generations, according to their nations: of them were the coastlands of the nations scattered over the earth after the mabul.
